We are a group of academics, practitioners, parents, and individuals with disabilities, who are passionate about the Church  as a place where welcome, access, and accommodation are central features of life together. It is the Body through which all members “have the same care for one another” which all members “have the same care for one another” (1 Cor. 12:25), where barriers and “dividing walls” are destroyed (Eph. 2:14-15), and where everybody’s gifts are received with thanksgiving (Rom. 12:4-5; 1 Cor. 12). We dream together about what would this type of communion look like in our churches – a deep communion that draws on the contributions of everyone in our communities, including people with disabilities and their families?
